New Year’s Eve
I love New Year’s Eve. Always have, always will. This year’s is epic though. It’s the biggest selling for any place I’ve DJ’d and we’ve got more toys to play with on the night!
I’m scrambling around trying to get songs and things ready for the big night, but I will be recording a live mix as well as video from the night. Both will no doubt make their way on here at some point.
Whatever you’re doing to see in 2012 have a great night.
Hed Kandi Brighton Mix
Here’s a link to the special mix I put together for the lovely folks at the new Hed Kandi Bar Brighton…

Return Of The Prydz
After what seems a lengthy absence from the music world, Eric Prydz has recently released his latest dance floor destroyer.
2Night is classic Prydz – no more than well crafted drums, a careful bass line and an epic “oh god it’s in my brain already” piano hook. It’s another example of what he does best and follows Niton (The Reason) and Pjanoo as some of his best piano-led work.
It’s sure to be a winner in the dance music fraternity.
2Night is out now on Beatport here.
The Rise Of Afrojack
Afrojack one of those producer/DJs you may have heard of but not heard of.
Very strongly supported by David Guetta he had, up until now, been very much in the pool of Dutch house. Dutch house is very techno-y with massive synth sounds and frantic FX and build ups. Think Sidney Samson’s Riverside on speed.
Now, though, he’s turned in a remix of The Wombats’ Techno Fan which would make any house fan tap a foot. It’s almost up there with Axwell & Dirty South’s remix of Temper Traps Sweet Disposition but definitely in the same league.
With Mr Guetta behind him he surely can’t fail to be enormous…
Good, eh?
Summer Tune #2
Remember David Morales’ legendary ‘Needin U’? Well, Million Dollar Disco have used the sample to perfection and added a very catchy vocal from Max’C. Rumour has it this is set for release on Hed Kandi at some point this summer. It’s been doing the rounds for a while – unsigned – but now has a label to release it. Couldn’t think of a more suited label…
